Manufacturing and Repair of Bearings
Tin and lead based Babbitt casting is carried out by gravity and centrifugal methods on steel, cast iron and brass shells.
Bearings with weights up to 1.5 ton and 1 meter diameter are cast by centrifugal method while larger bearings are poured by gravity casting.
All machining processes of journal, journal trust, pad, trust pad and tilting pad bearings as well as brass and aluminum seals are performed in the bearing workshop.
There is the capability of machining bearings with diameter of up to 2 meter by DP lathe.
