Cleaning

The old coating and degraded zone on the surface of parts must be removed at the beginning of repair process. This is performed by a combination of grit blasting and chemical stripping.  There is a special chemical stripping bath for each type of coating.

Besides, parts undergo several cleaning steps during repair process.
Cleaning processes in STC include:

-    Al2O3 grit blasting  
-    Vapor degreasing
-    Ultrasonic cleaning

Appropriate cleaning is essential to achieve good quality in processes such as coating, welding, brazing and inspections.
