WELDING

Different welding techniques are used to build up removed areas of damaged turbine components as well as making some joints . Most of these components are fabricated from high strength superalloys with low weldability and high reactivity with oxygen. Therefore, special welding techniques are required to achieve high integrity of welds.
Shahriar Turbine Components Co. utilizes Tungsten Inert Gas welding as the main welding method in repair process. Welding of rotating blades is carried out in protective gas filled chambers.
